Here we offer excerpts from key interviews conducted during production of the film. These domestic violence videos cover a broad range of topics, we hope touching on most of the important aspects of domestic abuse. Most interviews run about five minutes. You can also read the transcripts (either as a web page or pdf document).
We interviewed scores of people whose lives have been touched by domestic abuse. While most of the story takes place in Minnesota, we also filmed in New York and Baltimore. Our subjects included survivors and batterers, cops and prosecutors, doctors and nurses, advocates and early leaders of the battered women’s movement. Only a tiny portion of what we filmed appears in the documentary.
